Kathy grew up in southern New Hampshire with her parents and two older brothers.  She attended the University of New Hampshire where she majored in microbiology with a minor in psychology.  Kathy moved to San Diego, CA where she worked in research for two years before moving to North Carolina.  She attended the physician assistant program at Duke University in 2004.  She has been practicing in the area since 2006.
